Field Day and Kite Day

Trying to get the kite up!!

Flying the kite!

Kaci trying to keep herself entertained!

Chase at field day!

It seems like the last week of school is filled with fun.  On Friday, Kaylee had kite day and Chase had field day.  Kaylee and I were able to get the kite up and keep it flying for 5 whole minutes.  That takes a lot of talent!  There wasn't much wind so you would have to get the kite up on a gust of wind and then just tried to keep it up until the wind completly died down.  Chase's highlight of field day was the water fight.  I have some cute pictures of the whole class throwing sopping wet sponges at each other but you wouldn't be able to see Chase very well.

Kindergarten Graduation

Chase and his buddies Carson and Jackson
So, kindergarten is FINALLY over.  Chase has had fun this year. He is the class clown that gives his teacher lots of stories to tell her family over dinner.  Their program consisted of singing and dancing but I wanted the dancing on the video camera and pulling that off onto the computer is beyond my expertise.  So here is his autumn leaves song that they sang.

FINALLY

A swimming listen with NO TEARS and a happy face! It only took 2 MONTHS! Kaci made it through and had fun today! Even her teacher was surprised at the no crying part.  We will see if it continues at her next lesson!!

Jackson's week

Last night was Jackson's choir concert.  He looks thrilled to be there.  If you actually watch the video, you'll see the kid in the striped shirt on the front row pass out at the end.  (He was okay.) The teacher made the boys resing the song which didn't make them too happy.  (Jackson actually passed out at school last week during a practice.  He hit his head pretty hard but got to come home and spend the day on the couch.  He was glad that now he wasn't known as the kid who fainted.  Someone else now becomes the talk of the school!)  Jackson also had a great baseball game on Tuesday night.  He was 2 for 3.  He had two solid doubles with one turning into a inside the park home run after an overthrow to third and home.  Tonight is an honor society induction ceremony for Jackson (at the same time as Chase's 1st baseball game). Jackson has done great in Junior High this year.  He has worked hard and had a lot of fun.  We are ready for summer though.

Conversation with Chase

chase : Mom, did you know that there was an earthquake in China?

mom :  Yes, a lot of people were hurt or killed in the earthquake.

chase : Good thing that Yao Ming wasn't killed.

YUM!

Isn't this what everyone wants to do after finishing a bowl of ice cream!!   She made sure and got every last drop!!

IT'S THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR

Which means school projects, concerts etc.  So here is a glimpse of last weeks accomplishments. If you feel like Jackson is left out, his stuff is still to come.  It feels like all of the schools and teachers save everything for May.  Every night is filled with projects, studying for tests, stuff at the school on top of baseball, piano, scouts, activity days and sanity.  The posts following are just a glimpse of my crazy weeks!!
