While we were in Utah, Grandpa took Chase to a Jazz game. Chase was pretty excited because grandpa bought him a jersey and a hat. He wrote about it in his writing journal at school. The teacher showed it to me because she thought it was cute. I wrote it down exactly how he spelled everything. He didn't have time to finish so I only have the first part.
"On Thursday I went to a Jazz game. My grampa took me and bot me a jazz hat and gerse (jersey) his name is Paul Millsap at first qurter the Jazz were winning by 5 point and then they callt a time out They put Millsap in the game they were versing the suns. They had my favorite player on the suns his name is Stevein Nash but my favorite jazz player is Millsap at the 2nd qurter we got licorish ther were lots of likorish then"(Punctuation and capitals aren't required or taught yet but he actually does pretty good with his spelling, especially for the beginning of 1st grade. )
Thanks grandpa for a fun night out with Chase.

Does anyone notice that they are the only ones there? 1st off, it is a preseason game. 2nd off, it brought a smile to my face because my dad loves to be very EARLY to games. Thanks again dad!
